Dear Khuddam Brothers & Beloved Atfal!
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarkathahu
May this message find you all in the best of your health and all spirits of life. Ameen
With the grace of Allah the Almighty Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated in remembrance of the great sacrifice offered by Hazrat Ibrahim (as) about 4,000 years ago.
Unlike past years, this year has been difficult for everyone around the world because of the pandemic situation and I believe each one of us has shown tremendous amount of sacrifices and steadfastness in one way or the other during these times of hardship.
Eid-ul-Adha is a festival that marks the significance of sacrifice and empathy for betterment of fellow beings and nearness to Allah the Almighty, and this year indeed is a time to reflect on our intentions of sacrifice and move a step ahead in doing our bit in the way of righteousness.
As Huzoor Aqdas (atba) mentioned in his Eid speech on 31-07-2020 (Friday), it is the intention of the sacrifice that is counted in front of Allah the Almighty, rather than a sacrifice made to boast.
Huzoor Aqdas (atba) in his Sermon said “Many Muslims celebrate this Eid for mere celebratory purposes and perform other rituals for the sake of showing off. A true believer, however, remembers the essence and significance of the sacrifice that is celebrated on Eid-ul-adha; they remember it as it ought to be remembered.”
As Huzoor has mentioned we need to keep in mind the significance of this day, the sacrifice of the father and son. Here we need to understand the pain of the father who was bestowed by Allah, a son in his elderly stage and was decreed by Allah to sacrifice the same child through a dream. And the son who accepts this command happily, but when the knife was lifted to sacrifice the life of the young boy, Allah the exalted revealed to the father that his dream was fulfilled. The story of the great Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (as) and his son Hazrat Ismael (as) is preserved in the Holy Quran and has become a standard for all true believers to follow till the end of days.
As Huzoor further said this unquestioning submission of Ibrahim (as) and his son Ismael (as) to Allah’s command is exemplary and it should also reflect in every Ahmadis’, especially Waqifeen’s deeds and goals in life.
Huzoor said: “The youth and Waqifeen should offer their services for serving the Jamaat as missionaries and doctors and other such fields. The level of our sacrifices should be much higher. There should be substance in our emotions when reading the details of exalted sacrifices of people in the past. We should reflect on how we can bring to the world the true message of Islam; how we can remedy the many ills of today. This should be the mindset of every Waqif-e-Nau.”
I hope and pray that all our youth and Waqifeen follow the guidelines of our beloved Khalifa and standout in the way of submission to Allah the Almighty. Ameen.
With this, I would extend my wishes to all our Khuddam and Atfal brothers and would request for prayers, especially for the health and well being of our beloved Huzoor (atba) and for everyone around the world. Eid Mubarak!
