Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya (MKA) Shimoga
In a beautiful display of communal harmony and brotherhood, the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya (MKA) Shimoga, under the auspices of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Karnataka, successfully hosted an Interfaith Ramadan Iftar Meet. The event was held at the Patrika Bhavana (Press Club), Shimoga, and brought together a diverse cross-section of society.
The gathering commenced in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The proceedings began with a melodious recitation from the Holy Quran, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the evening.
The programme was well-attended by a distinguished gathering, including representatives of the local press, officials from the Police Department, esteemed professors, teachers, and students from various educational institutions. Their presence underscored the message of unity and mutual respect that the event aimed to foster.
As part of the programme, two documentaries were screened for the guests.
The highlight of the evening was the interactive session where the guests shared their impressions and thoughts. They lauded the initiative taken by MKA Shimoga and emphasized the need for such platforms to build bridges of understanding between different communities in today’s world.
The event concluded with a comprehensive address by Tariq Ahmed Idris, the Zilla Qaid (District President) of MKA Shimoga. In his speech, he elaborated on the significance of Ramadan and the importance of fostering love and solidarity among all citizens, regardless of their faith. The formal proceedings ended with a silent prayer (Dua) led by him, supplicating for peace and prosperity for the nation and the world.
The Interfaith Iftar Meet served as a powerful reminder of the values of compassion and coexistence, leaving a lasting positive impression on all who attended.
