Connecting Hands” Interfaith Iftar in Qadian Brings Together Bar Council Members and Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya

Members of the Bar Council, Gurdaspur participated in the “Connecting Hands” Interfaith Iftar hosted by Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Qadian on 14 March 2026, promoting dialogue, mutual understanding, and interfaith harmony.

In a significant gesture of interfaith unity and community outreach, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya) Qadian chapter hosted a special “Connecting Hands” Iftar program on 14 March 2026, bringing together legal professionals and community members to foster dialogue and mutual understanding.

The program, held at the local headquarters, commenced with a guided tour for the visiting guests. The delegation from the Bar Council visited the revered holy sites of Qadian, including Darul Masih and the Bahishti Maqbra (Heavenly Cemetery), gaining insight into the historical and spiritual significance of these locations to the Ahmadiyya Muslim community.

Following the visits, a formal session was convened. Mr. Shareef Kousar Sahib extended a warm welcome to the guests and delivered an introductory address, outlining the core teachings of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and the purpose of fasting in Ramadhan.

Mr. K. Tariq Sahib, Incharge Press and Media, then addressed the gathering, shedding light on the contemporary global situation. In his address, he highlighted the guidance provided by the Khalifa of the time, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib (aba), for establishing world peace and emphasized the community’s perspective on current affairs.

The President of the Bar Council, Gurdaspur, expressed his gratitude to the Youth Wing for the initiative. In his remarks, he praised the serene atmosphere of Qadian and lauded the efforts to promote interfaith dialogue and communal harmony.

A documentary titled “A Message of Peace” was then screened for the attendees, further illustrating the community’s dedication to universal brotherhood.

In a gesture of interfaith reciprocity, Shri Waryam Singh, a renowned Katha Vachak, addressed the lawyers and youth workers. He spoke on the universal brotherhood teachings of Sikhism while specifically praising the efforts of the Ahmadiyya Youth.

The proceedings concluded with a presidential address by Mr. Niyaz Ahmed Naik, Youth President India. In his speech, he elaborated on the teachings of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and urged the lawyers to uphold righteousness and justice in their professional lives, serving as beacons of truth in society.

The event concluded on a warm note with a delicious Iftar dinner being served to approximately 40 guests, including members of the Bar Council and local office bearers. The program was widely appreciated as a successful step towards strengthening inter-community bonds and promoting a message of peace and understanding.
