Why do I get so excited whenever I hear about Qadian or plan a visit to Qadian?
As a Muslim—and above all, as an Ahmadi Muslim—Qadian holds a very special place in my heart. It feels deeply personal. Every time I hear its name, a sense of excitement and closeness fills my heart.
Allah makes the way easy for those who are called.
I have been visiting Qadian since my childhood. One reason is that my mother belongs to Qadian. The second, and most obvious reason, is that Qadian is the blessed birthplace of the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). From this small village, a divine message spread to the corners of the world. When we visit Qadian and offer prayers at the Makamat-e-Muqaddasat—the sacred places where the Promised Messiah (as) prayed, lived, and preached the true teachings of Islam—we feel the spiritual weight and value of that blessed land increase manifold.
In accordance with the prophecies of our beloved Master, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi of the age. Reflecting upon this, I feel extremely privileged and grateful to Allah to be an Ahmadi Muslim. Personally, I have experienced many imaan-afroz waqiyaat (faith-strengthening incidents) connected with Qadian.
This year, I was not very sure whether I would be able to visit Qadian due to my workload at the office. I had already visited Punjab in October for Ijtema. My boss even asked me, “You just went recently, right?” I replied yes, but explained that I wished to go again for the Annual Jalsa. He initially reduced my leaves, but finally approved them—Alhamdulillah. I myself was unsure until the very end, but Allah made it possible once again. InshaAllah, I will be in Qadian next week.
My boss jokingly told me, “Don’t visit so often, Baseer, people may start noticing.” I smiled and replied, “They will be more than happy to welcome me to the holy land.”
This excitement is not mine alone—it exists in the hearts of all Ahmadis who visit Qadian. Anyone who has stayed away for a long time feels an inner longing to return. The Promised Messiah (as) repeatedly emphasized love for Qadian and encouraged believers to remain spiritually connected to it, as it strengthens faith, humility, and righteousness.
I sincerely urge those brothers who have not visited Qadian for a long time to plan a visit. If one prays wholeheartedly, such a journey surely increases imaan and taqwa.
Therefore, my dear Khuddam brothers, this is my heartfelt request: please take this opportunity and plan to visit Qadian during Jalsa. Experience the warmth of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, the blessings of Khilafat, and carry back with you the special prayers connected with the Promised Messiah (as). May we all become true followers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), upon whose prophecies we are witnessing these blessed times.
Alhamdulillah.
